Vegas Wedding Chapels
Â
Las Vegas chapels vary from basic to magical depending on budget. Some chapels compete with the Clark County's Civil Marriage $50 basic service while Wynn has a $23,090 package. Although you can get a beautiful wedding from many of the independent chapels, we present those who are registered with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
The BBB requires its members to meet customer complaint standards and although some think it is a marketing ploy, some believe that members try harder. There is no guarantee of a superior wedding service, but at least you have another avenue for complaints.Â
You can click on the chapel name to go to their website. We apologize for not using the standard blue color link with blue underline. Information was valid as of February 12, 2009 and does not include the BBB invitations printer nor the 3 wedding advisors.

In the table above, all Vegas phones are area code 702 and the U.S. Country Code, if calling from overseas is 00 1. To dial these local phones you would start all calls with 00 1 702 and then the local phone. The table below has toll free phone numbers with either 800 or 888 area codes that lead to the same chapels.
High End Weddings
Las Vegas weddings can be some of the most tasteful and elegant anywhere. You also have the advantage that after you take your one big risk you can continue to gamble right away.
Bellagio has a $2,000 upgrade (Terrazza di Sogno) for a balcony view with Bellagio fountains going off on your kiss that is both very Vegas and elegant. We think this is the best upgrade of any and can make the Bellagio weddings very attractive. Unfortunately, their lowest priced package is $2,000 so your minimum with the upgrade is $4,000. Their $16,000 package (no upgrade) includes dining at Prime or Picasso with tickets to O. High end weddings include tax.
Wynn's cheapest package is $1,690 and their most expensive is $23,090 (taxes included) that includes a wedding consultant and 2 nights in their Fairway Villas which we rank second only to the MGM Skylofts as best for publicly available accommodations in Vegas. Dinner is at Alex which we rank the 3rd best restaurant in Las Vegas. Overall it is a very inclusive package.
Caesars starts at $899 going up to $20,000. They have excellent chapel facilities but you may want to consider the garden first especially if the weather in Vegas is good. Click here for weather advice.
Budget Weddings
Clark Country's civil marriage is brief but cheap at $50 in exact change cash or credit (not debit) card plus an extra $5 credit card fee. Although they are open every day including holidays, they are only open to 10 pm unlike the license bureau which is open up to midnight. Your ceremony will last 5-10 minutes if you have a witness with you. If you wait for the nexrt couple to act as your witness it might increase the overall time. Here is their address, no appointment necessary.
Commissioner of Civil Marriages 309 S. 3rd St., 1st floor Las Vegas, NV 89155-1603
Also, expect sales pitches from independent chapels that could undercut the civil marriage fee. The commercial chapels' business peaked in 2004 and you should be able to see that in some of the more aggressive offerings. 2009 was 5th straight year that marriage applications declined for Clark County.
A moderate budget choice is Texas Station which is off-strip in North Vegas. It has good facilities for the money and ranges in price between $750 and $275. Full bar and meal reception is reasonable at $45 each.
Upgrades and Tipping
If you have a lower budget wedding, you will be expected to tip for some of the services. The minister fee is often $60. Photography and videography, if added on, will run at least $40 to $100 and the range is more for video. Limos will run about $60 or so but you are also expected to tip the driver $40.
Elvis fans will spend at least $150 to $250 for 2-3 songs with the dueling thin Elvis and the thicker Elvis over $400. Costume rental and/or tux and gown can run $40-200. You should always ask what is included because weddings are often very ala carte at the lower end.
