Las Vegas Weather

Print E-mail

There is no bad stretch of weather to avoid. Even on very hot days, Vegas benefits from being in the top 5 major cities in the U.S. for lowest relative humidity.

March-April and October-November are the best weather months to visit Vegas. If you are trying to avoid crowds as well, fall is better as average daily visitor counts are usually about 1,000 or so lower. Please see our Convention section for the average daily visitor counts.

*Peak, 2005-07

Actual temperatures on the Las Vegas Strip may be a few degrees higher than the official temperatures which are done at McCarran Airport in the shade. You should also expect about a 2-12 degree difference between low and high elevations. Las Vegas is 2,001 feet above sea level with Henderson to the south about 700 feet higher and Summerlin to the North and West around 2,800-3,100 feet above sea level. Low is warmer than high elevation.
