August 2010 Conventions

Although there are no 3 day weekends in August, crowds will be in town from the 2nd-6th for World Market and then the overlapping of ASD (Surplus Dealers) from the 8th-11th and World Shoe from the 9th to 11th.  It will feel as if there are 50,000 plus for these dates.

Later MAGIC will bring in 75,000 for its Fall meeting at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) which will make it one of the largest Vegas conventions.  Even though it is small, the Star Trek convention will bring in colorful characters, not all of them officially actors.

Conventions for 2010

2010 Las Vegas Conventions

Here is an early look at 2010. The auto parts convention is expected to surpass Consumer Electronics as the biggest convention. Hopefully there will be some upward revisions in the numbers.

LVCC is our abbreviation for the Las Vegas Convention Center. All numbers are adapted from the LVCVA.com website with only those conventions of over 10,000 shown. Note that the Hospitality, Hotel, Nightclub and Bar conventions coincide with a similar audience as does the SEMA, AAPEX and AAIW for the auto parts crowd.
