Vegas VIP Memberships

An alternative to long lines at clubs is VIP Memberships which allow you to bypass the wait and enjoy other benefits such as access to other clubs, discounts on bottle service, concierge services, etc.

In Las Vegas there are 7 clubs and 1 pool party that have at least one Membership program.

  • Foundation Room (at Mandalay Bay)
  • ghostbar
  • Playboy Club
  • Moon
  • Rain
  • Seamless/Sheri’s (off-Strip)
  • Rehab (Hard Rock)

Foundation Room

The Foundation Room (along with Jet) is one of the hot spots for Vegas on Monday nights when it is open to the public. It is a membership club that includes a total of 7 Foundation Rooms with Boston and Houston planned. Here are the existing clubs:

  • Las Vegas
  • Atlantic City
  • Chicago
  • Cleveland
  • Dallas
  • Los Angeles
  • New Orleans

The cost of an individual standard membership is $2,250 a year which also gets up to 3 guests in with the member. This private club has one of the best views in Las Vegas. Members get a complimentary buffet at the House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch.

You can rent their 4 private rooms for dinners or entertaining. Although the Stirling Club at Turnberry has the best of the private dining in Las Vegas (Charlie Palmer is the executive chef), Foundation Room has very good food too.

When you sign up for the $3,500 individual gold membership you also get access to Clubline’s Signature Gold memberships for other cities as well as up to 5 guests at the Foundation Room.

This option is very strong for golfers. The greens fees at over 140 private clubs in the U.S. are waived for members and you can also access over 60 private dining rooms as well. You get 2 monthly rounds of golf and 2 dinners which are at restaurants like Fleming’s and Roy’s throughout the U.S.—very good although not Robuchon quality.

Although VIP access to the Foundation Room is a great feature for club goers, this is more for a businessman who wants to entertain guests in the private rooms and travels a lot while playing golf.

N9ne Group

If you are more of a pure nightclub denizen, you might prefer the n9ne group’s $7,500 annual Membership program. You get VIP access to the following:

  • Playboy Club
  • Moon
  • ghostbar
  • Rain
  • Palms Pool and Bungalows

You can get pre-sale tickets to the Pearl which is an excellent live music venue. You get discounts for the Palms spa and salon and the Palms Shop and Playboy store. You still have to pre-book through guest services but if lucky, they hold back at least 2 tables at Moon, Playboy, ghostbar, and Rain for members and they waive the bottle minimum.

For N9ne and Nove, they have preferred seating for members. N9ne can get very crowded but Italian food Nove is never packed. N9ne is the Vegas Made Easy.com top pick by a very small margin over Craftsteak at MGM for best wet-aged steak. Craftsteak is ranked number 1 for dry-aged steaks. Click here for the reviews.

Playboy Passport

Should the Playboy Club in Las Vegas be the only one you are interested in, there is another option. The Playboy passport is more of a traveler’s and Playboy function type of membership program although they also have concierge services and you get into the Playboy Club. It is $10,000 a year for invited potential guests. If you are not invited you cannot join.

Rehab Pool Party

If you are a local (guests have a free and separate access) who wants to skip the lines for Rehab—the top pool party in Las Vegas, the season pass was $1,200 this past year. It will open again in April of 2008 but pricing could change. The season pass will probably have some discounts such as on cabanas but check first to be sure.

Seamless

Seamless becomes a very late hours nightclub when it switches over from being a Strip Club. Their memberships are only sold on a lifetime basis at $5,000 individual and $10,000 corporate. You get VIP access and a $100 bar tab.

Your choice of seating is private VIP or out on the main floor. They have a shuttle to Sheri’s Cabaret which is a nude bar—no alcohol. If you would like to see our review of Strip Clubs, click here.

What about Tao, Pure, etc.?

Vegas Made Easy.com surveyed the other clubs in Las Vegas such as Tao, Pure, LAX, etc. and none have VIP Membership programs yet. You may be able to negotiate discounts if you are planning an after-convention function or a large private party that would include VIP treatment.

Stirling Club

Although this should not technically be included here because membership does not offer nightclub privileges, you might be interested if you are a fan of Kelly Clinton (Clint Holmes' wife). You will be treated to pop/jazz and Charlie Palmer's trained chefs' cooking as a member for $2,500 plus $143 per month. Turnberry residents already get membership as part of their HOA fees.

They also have a premier membership for $5,000 and $273 per month which gains access to their health club and clay tennis courts. Overall it is not a bad deal but not really geared for the serious night clubbing fan.
