The World Series of Poker winds down to the final table in July. After Independence Day is a WBO welterweight match of Torres v. Holt. The Maxxis Endurocross should lure motorcycle fans to the Orleans and UFC 86 rumbles into Mandalay Bay. UFC events are often held at the MGM which holds over 17,000 so the smaller 12,000 seating Mandalay could sell out quickly.
You should always try to get comped tickets if you gamble or pay regular box office prices. However, if you don't mind paying a premium for very good seats, TicketsNow which usually has one of the largest inventories and UFC 86 could be one of those events that sell out faster than usual. The NBA summer league kicks off this month as well.

July has been an above average month but the gasoline price crunch could be at its peak so visitor counts might be subdued. July 4th will be a long weekend this year (Friday) versus last year (Wedenesday) so perhaps that could more than offset the price of gasoline but it is too early to tell for sure. The rest of July could be softer than usual except when the larger conventions are in town.
Big conventions are the Cosmoprof and World Show (WSA) with a good number of smaller conventions. Overall, July might be a great time for the crowd averse to visit Vegas just as long as you avoid the 4th and the convention dates.
Below are the visitor counts month by month with high and low visitor counts are highlighted. We also show the average daily visitor count which is a more accurate read on how crowded Vegas will feel. This might be an exclusive to our site but please let us know if someone else has this. Thanks!
